The Most Sought After Car Colours – Is White the Benchmark?

Most of the people choose the black or white color for their cars. White color has been the most favorite color for last six consecutive year and Global Automotive 2015 Color Popularity report shows that black, grey, silver, and red are top five colors. White color is at top with 35% of world car population and it overtook silver in 2011 as the most preferred color for vehicles. White color gained the popularity in all types of vehicles in most of the regions. Customers in Asia are 41%, and in Africa are 46%, who preferred white than other parts of the world. White color has been one of top five colors since 1953 and it is evolved and they are provided in rich variety of color from white to vanilla shades.

Gari is reported that white has been top runner since 1998 and silver remained on top from 2001 to 2006 being the leading color and Black color has surpassed silver and became most preferred color in market segments. Apple introduced the vivid colors trend with introduction of iMac and silver color was considered the primary color. Silver color is used for mobile phones home entertainment appliances and computers and now it became the most prominent car color. 

In the mid-2000, Apple switched boats and they introduced product line in white color and it helped in propelling white color to prominence. The hypothesis shows that psychologists say about appeal of white color and this choice of color evokes the persona as young, minimalist and contemporary. Huge number of people like white color as it is the easiest color for car to keep them clean and various other benefits are also associated with it. It does not absorb heat like other colors and it also helps in saving the cost of fuel.
